VSPL awarded its first Road design consultancy assignment in Ethiopia. Hitherto, VSPL was engaged in the Architecture & Design of the prestigious Incubation Centre Building near the Bole Airport (World Bank funded).
The road section originates at Gore and ends at Tepi. The length of this road will be approx. 140 km. The existing road section is a single lane facility. Voyants has to design this as a 2-lane paved road having 7m wide bituminous carriageway with bituminous surface dressing and gravel shoulders
VSPL was hired post an intense competitive evaluation process. VSPL has commenced services and intends to design this facility as per value engineering concepts so as to save construction time and costs for the Client. Topographical surveys and investigations are about to commence and traffic studies initiated to assess the road strengthening requirements.

Project : Planning and Surveying in Nairobi, Mombasa, Thika and Embufor Informal Settlements (Ministry of Land, Housing And Urban Development)
Duration : 12 Months
The project development objective of the Kenya Informal Settlements Improvement Project (KISIP) is to improve living conditions in informal settlements in selected municipalities in Kenya. This will be achieved by improving security of tenure and investing in infrastructure based on plans developed in consultation with the beneficiary communities.
KISIP will also create and test a national framework for systematic improvement and continuing investments in informal settlements, which can reach all informal settlements over the medium to long term. In addition to supporting improvements in existing informal settlements, KISIP will also support the Ministry of Land, Housing and Urban Development, and the selected County Governments in planning to help them anticipate and manage future demand for housing and environmentally healthy neighborhoods for Informal Settlements as cities expand.

Project Details :
This project aims at Widening of existing road to 2 lane NH standards along with improvements and re-alignments from Nechipu to Hoj section of NH-229 on BOT (Annuity) Basis in Arunachal Pradesh. The total length of this section is 311 kms. The project highway includes but not be limited to the following: Road Works, Bridges, Service Roads. MORT&H has appointed VSPL as the Independent Engineer (IE) to oversee the activities of the concessionaire during design, construction, operation and maintenance of the Project Highway.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Planning (MHU) on behalf of the Government of Burkina Faso, launched an architectural competition for the full mission of architecture for the construction of one thousand (1,000) local and economic housing units in the City of Ouagadougou under EXIM Bank India funding. VSPL presented their design to MHU and won this Design Competition
The overall objective of this project is to design and build “1,000 social and economic housing Program” for the benefit of people on low and middle-income, reflecting the strong relationship between Burkina Faso and the Republic of India. The financing fund worth a total of 22.5 million US dollars equivalent to 11.25 billion CFA, is made available to the Ministry of Housing and of Urban Development (MHU) Burkina Faso for the work implementation.

VSPL bags its first assignment in Georgia(funded by USAID)
Project Details : Construction Management and Supervision Services for Rehabilitation Works for IDP Housing for Six (6) Former Hospital Buildings and Partial Rehabilitation Works for Twenty two (22) Collective Centers for IDP Durable Housing
Georgia has received a grant from USAID for financing of the Improved Infrastructure, Economic opportunities, and Support for Internally Displaced Persons and intends to use part of this grant for the Construction Management and Supervision Services for Rehabilitation Works for IDP Housing for Six (6) Former Hospital Buildings and Partial Rehabilitation Works for Twenty two (22) Collective Centers for IDP Durable Housing.
This technical assignment aims at organizing the day-to-day construction supervision services of the rehabilitation works for six (6) former hospital buildings and partial rehabilitation works for twenty two (22) collective centers buildings. Collective Centers’ buildings are located in Imereti and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Regions. Services will include supervision of the rehabilitation of 22 buildings.
With this assignment VSPL continues to mark its presence across the globe in a very short span of time.
